It all started in 1999 when a 21 year old named (G) Gareth Keene bought his first yank tank, customized it and restored it, then turned around and sold it at a premium. He's been forging cars, bikes and an empire ever since.
He had started working as a panel beater/painter and got sick of the bog dust up the nostrils. Four years later went on to sell cars for a local dealer and enjoyed the experience. With a lack of weekend time he made the change and went on to automotive parts sales, in brakes and clutches and then into V8 parts with a local supplier until he thought, "I need to start my own deal!"
So he set out to come up with a new business venture, and he did. He found a local market that was lacking and came up with a company name, dare he say it now Kruzin Kustoms. Unfortunately, he felt he made a mistake. He invited another person into his idea and went into partnership, (never again). Either way 12 months later found he had started out with the wrong person and put the cards on the table to sell his share of the business.
Just a punk kid in Palmerston North who decided to do something his own way, do it well, and do it in the face of everybody who said it couldn't be done. Gareth formed Hotrod Heaven in August 2007 and has built the shop from the ground up with a lot of hard work, dedication and sheer determination.
So here we are HOTROD HEAVEN, we have now been up and running for a year. It's a gang of gear heads whose love for cars and bikes pushes them to become the best there is. Being there every day isn't just a job; it's a commitment to the way of life. Just look down at the rubber-lined streets surrounding the shop and you’ll know what we mean. Rumblers, street machines, classics, Harleys, and the newest fastest shit you have ever seen, and as always smoke, petrol and grease in the air.
So it was only a matter of time before Hotrod Heaven expanded beyond the cars. Yes, the bikes have always been part of the landscape and now the focus is there too. We are now building fully customised bikes and have a well equipped workshop to handle any job from fitting a new tank to completely building a show winning chopper.Locations
